Linking Your Instagram (Creator/Business Account) to a Public Facebook Page
- Open the Instagram app on your mobile device. Make sure you are logged into the Instagram account associated with Motom and that you have a creator account.
- Click “Edit profile” directly under your Instagram bio.
- Select “Page” under “Public business information.”
- A pop-up will prompt you to select or create a public Facebook page for your account.
- To create a page, enter a title and choose a category.
- Click “Create” or “Connect.” and your Instagram account will be connected to a public Facebook page.

Please note a Facebook page can only be connected to one Instagram account at a time. You must make the page public. The page does not have to contain any information or activities on it.

Note: Please be aware that removing a Facebook or Instagram connection linked to a launched storefront program will impact your partnership with the brand. Contact us if you're experiencing issues with your connection.

Why Do I Need to Connect Facebook and Instagram To Motom?
Connecting your public Facebook page to your Instagram account allows the brands you're partnering with on an Anchor storefront program to access audience insights and analytics from your organic and sponsored promotional posts. This enables them to see how your content is performing and how it relates to your storefront views, clicks, sales, and more.

A Facebook profile is not the same as a Facebook Page. Your Instagram account must be set up as a Creator or business account and connected to a public Facebook Page. How Do I Create a Facebook Page?

How do I verify my Instagram profile is connected to my public Facebook Page?
- Open the Facebook app or website.
- Tap your profile image.
- On the Facebook app, tap the drop-down button.
- Select the public Facebook Page that is connected to your Instagram profile.
- Tap your Facebook Page’s profile image.
- On desktop, click Settings & Privacy, then Settings.
- On mobile, tap the settings icon.
- Scroll down to Permissions and click Linked accounts.
- Confirm that it says Connected to your Instagram Creator profile.

How do I verify Motom has all Instagram and Facebook permissions?
- Make sure you’ve connected Facebook and your Instagram profile via the Motom app or website here.
- Confirm your Facebook Page is connected to your Instagram Creator profile.
- Open the Facebook app or website.
- Tap your profile image.
- On the Facebook app, tap the drop-down button.
- Select the public Facebook Page that is connected to your Instagram profile.
- Tap your Facebook Page’s profile image.
- On desktop, click Settings & Privacy, then Settings.
- On mobile, tap the settings icon.
- Scroll down to Permissions and click Linked accounts.
- Confirm that it says Connected to your Instagram Creator profile.
- Confirm Motom has all permissions via your Instagram Creator profile.
- Open the Instagram app on your mobile device.
- Click on the hamburger menu☰ or the navigation bar at the top right of your Instagram profile.
- Search Permissions.
- Click Website permissions then Apps and websites.
- Confirm Motom is under Active.
- Don't see Motom under Active? Your Instagram account can be reconnected by going to Motom Settings > Social Accounts or by clicking here.
- Click View and edit under Motom.
- Confirm User media appears under Access your profile information. If it does not, disconnect and reconnect your Instagram account by going to Motom Settings > Social Accounts or by clicking here.

Why was my Instagram connection unsuccessful?
In order to connect your Instagram to Motom properly and unlock all the benefits of doing so, you must grant Motom all Instagram permissions, including user media.
- In your Motom settings or during registration, please click CONNECT next to Instagram. This will open the Instagram app or website.
- Tap Allow to securely allow your Instagram to connect to Motom with cookies and similar technologies. This is a requirement from Instagram.
- Select Allow again so Motom can import your profile information to streamline your account.
